To Date..

Well, as a beginning, I will let you know where things stand: Morgan and Tim have completed school with both of them passing. Morgan is now a SENIOR and Tim is a FRESHMAN !! I can't believe this!! I am feeling very old right about now. Both of them will attend Hampden Academy in the fall. Morgan is a member of the Civil Air Patrol (an auxiliary of the USAF) and is in a leadership position. He has intentions of joining the Army after his mission and college. Tim is...well...Tim. He just doesn't know what he wants. But, at 14, that's okay. Morgan is 5'7" and Tim has now surpassed him at 5'9 1/2" !! He is like a tower! He is taller than Lonnie, and of course taller than me! I feel very short!
Lonnie has started a new job as a security officer for Hollywood Slots, the new racino here in Maine. He LOVES it! The company is a phenomenal company to work for. He is working the 3-11 shift and must work all weekends, so we don't see him much at night anymore. He is off on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, so we get to have his awesome meals on those days. Needless to say, we are losing weight!
Lisa is currently unemployed. She was per diem at the local health clinic, but with all the financial hardships companies are enduring, that clinic stopped using per diem nurses. So, she waits. She is hoping to be hired at Hollywood Slots as well, as a slot attendant (responsible for counting out winnings to the customers.) Keep your fingers crossed!
Lisa's dad is doing well. He started dialysis treatments in April of 2007 after being diagnosed with end-stage renal failure. It was rough in the beginning, which is why Lisa went per diem - to be able to help at any given time. He is doing much better these days and Lisa can return to full-time work now. Dad spends his days reading (as usual) and loves the Boston Red Sox and fishing.
Lisa's brother & sister have cut ties with the family and, hence, their Dad. They insist that all of the "new" things he is doing is the result of Lisa and Lonnie "controlling" him and keeping him from them. It is really very sad to see this happen in what could be Dad's last years alive. But, this is a choice they are making and we cannot make them be happy for Dad. Instead of seeing the joy he is now experiencing in his life, they choose to be selfish and demand that he do things their way. Truly very sad, and Lisa has a hard time accepting this about them.
Anyway, that is the most recent update. Any questions about us, feel free to comment/email Lisa and an update can be added. Thanks for visiting!
